DTGO Founder Recognized for Pursuit of a Vision for Better Society for All

          Mrs. Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp, Group CEO of DTGO Corporation Limited, has been included on the 13th Annual Heroes of Philanthropy list, compiled by Forbes Asia to honour those prominent men and women who have shown significant dedication to solving some of the most pressing issues facing societies in the Asia-Pacific region in 2019.
          Forbes Asia selects its honourees by "reviewing their monetary contributions, the depth of their involvement, and the reach of their philanthropic efforts". Inclusion on this list recognizes the 3 decades Mrs. Ahriyavraromp has spent pursuing her vision of a better society for all through 'business-social' entrepreneurship.
          Mrs. Ahriyavraromp established the DTGO group in 1993 and credits her father, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of the CP Group, inspiring her to seek ways to combine business success with societal contribution to create lasting impact.
          "My father's vision in philanthropy had led the group to set up ecosystems for long-term support rather than to simply do charity," she said. "We have taken his guiding principles to heart, that all our undertakings, to which we devote our intellect, our strength, and our time, must benefit the people at large, the society we live in, our organization, and all other stakeholders."
          In keeping with these ideas, DTGO incorporates ambitious social and environmental goals into its core businesses, building a community of smart and good-hearted people who care for society at large, under the corporate motto 'Adding Value in Everything We Do'. The group also dedicates 2% of its top-line revenue to initiatives in education, healthcare, and the environment.
          The group's philanthropic initiatives strive to provide life-changing opportunities and life-long capacity development for the underprivileged, helping achieve group-wide goals in environmental impact reduction, healthcare access, and life chances for underprivileged children. Major initiatives include:
          - The Buddharaksa Foundation: focusing on education, supporting over 10,000 young Thais in high-quality education.
          - The Dhanin Tawee Chearvanont Foundation: helping the 14-year Bhutan for Life project reach its funding target and recently joining forces with partners to strengthen worldwide efforts to eliminate malaria through the Regional Artemisinin-resistance Initiative (RAI).
          - The Blue Carbon Society: established by Mrs. Ahriyavraromp with her husband, Dr. Jwanwat Ahriyavraromp, to conserve and restore marine and coastal ecosystems. The foundation recently signed an MoU with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to master plan the preservation of 24 sq. m. of mangroves in Phetchaburi.
          In addition to inclusion on the Forbes Asia 13th Annual Heroes of Philanthropy list, the efforts of Mrs. Ahriyavraromp and the group have been recognized by many regional and global awards. DTGO was included on the list of The World's Most Ethical Companies for 2019.
          Mrs. Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp recently received an Outstanding ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Award (AWEN). She also holds an 'Outstanding Women in Management of Large-Scale Business' award from the Ministry of Labour and 'Quality Person of the Year in the Real Estate Industry' from the Foundation of Science and Technology Council of Thailand.
          Thailand Tatler has recognized her among their 'Women who make a difference' for philanthropy. She has served on the board of the Mechai Viravaidya Foundation.
