Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited (“Prudential Thailand”) has teamed up with AIS, a leading telecom operator in Thailand, to offer a 30-day, free-of-charge Coronavirus (COVID-19) coverage to village health volunteers (VHVs). These volunteers, also known as “the warriors in grey shirts”, have dedicated their time and risked their health by helping monitor and screen people who may have contracted COVID-19. The offer is in line with Prudential Thailand and AIS’ commitment to help safeguard public health and demonstrate genuine care and appreciation to these warriors during the epidemic crisis.
Under this campaign, AIS will be providing "SIM Hero" SIM cards to VHVs to support their work across the country, whereas Prudential Thailand will offer a 30-day, free COVID-19 insurance coverage to those who successfully register and activate the SIM Hero cards. This insurance coverage includes a death benefit of THB50,000 and a hospital indemnity benefit of THB400 per day, for a maximum of 15 days, in the case that the insured requires medical treatment in a hospital due to COVID-19.
The coverage, eligible for VHVs aged 16-85 years old, will be effective once the insured receives a confirmation SMS from Prudential Thailand. The offer is available for registration from 1 June 2020 until 30 June 2020.
