KPMG published its first global environmental, social and governance (ESG) plan - Our Impact Plan - that brings together new and existing ESG commitments under one umbrella, focusing on four important categories: Planet, People, Prosperity and Governance. Our Impact Plan reaffirms KPMG's long-standing commitment to the UN Global Compact principles, while delivering against the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Today, KPMG in Thailand published their report on the achievements and progress made as part of this plan which is derived from the efforts of all staff and management. Key highlights of KPMG in Thailand's achievements from FY2021 include: KPMG publishes progress on ESG initiatives, highlighting achievements in the Planet, People, Prosperity and Governance categories

  • Planet: Reducing the impact on the environment to build a more sustainable and resilient future.
    • Set target to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030
    • 43% reduction in Gross Emission from FY2019 base year
    • 46% reduction in Gross Emission per individual from FY2019 base year
    • 73,811 kg of waste recycled 
  • People: Creating a caring, inclusive, purpose-led and values-driven culture for employees.
    • KPMG in Thailand ensures that there is equal opportunity in the workplace. 51% of the senior leadership are female.
    • 86% employee satisfaction in the Trust category, which includes trust in the leadership, the firm's ethical behavior, and KPMG's positive impact on society.
    • 191,124 learning hours had been provided to all staff firmwide via online as well as face-to-face channels.
    • COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots arranged for KPMG staff, as well as providing home isolation kits and COVID-19 tracking application.
  • Prosperity: Driving purposeful business practice and good corporate citizenship.
    • 5,686 people positively impacted in KPMG in Thailand's initiatives to help reduce inequality in the society.
    • 350 laptops donated for education
    • 500 home isolation kits donated to non-insured groups and foreign workers.
    • 203 scholarships provided to at-risk students.
  • Governance: To do the right thing, the right way, always. We conduct our operations in compliance with KPMG network firm's values, standards and service quality expectations with the highest ethics and independence.
    • KPMG is a certified member of The Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC).
    • Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand's quality control assessment under Thai Standard on Quality Control 1 (TSQC1) rates KPMG Thailand of "Very Good", the highest rating.
    • KPMG in Thailand maintains a no gift policy.
