The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will list two depositary receipts (DRs) on BYD Co., Ltd. and Xiaomi Corporation Co., Ltd., issued by Krungthai Bank (KTB), under ticker symbol "BYDCOM80" and "XIAOMI80" on July 22.
BYD Co., Ltd. is the world's leading manufacturer of electric vehicle (EV) and battery. Xiaomi Corporation Co., Ltd. is a global technology company that manufactures and distributes smartphones, electrical appliances and lifestyle products. "BYDCOM80" and "XIAOMI80" DRs will be sold to investors through a direct listing on the stock exchange without IPO process.
DR is a financial instrument that provides investors with the benefits of the underlying foreign shares. DR, therefore, offers investors an efficient way to gain exposure to international markets while trading via existing securities accounts.
