Krungsri helps customers and supports economic recovery by raising fixed deposit rate and maintaining lending rate for retail customers

Krungsri President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Seiichiro Akita, said "The increase in the Bank's deposit and lending rates is in line with the Bank of Thailand's monetary policy rate, which is a gradual increase, supporting economic recovery and the monetary policy of preserving financial stability. Moreover, Krungsri affirms its determination to provide all groups of customers with ongoing support. Therefore, the Bank raises the fixed deposit rate by 0.10-0.50% and considers minimizing any potential impacts of the lending rate increase, especially on the vulnerable and retail customers, by maintaining the lending rate for retail customers and raising the lending rate only for corporate customers by 0.25%."

The Bank adjusts deposit and lending rates as follows;

  • The fixed deposit interest rate is increased by 0.10-0.50%
  • The lending rates
    • Minimum Loan Rate (MLR) is increased by 0.25% to 5.83%
    • Minimum Overdraft Rate (MOR) is increased by 0.25% to 6.20%
    • Minimum Retail Rate (MRR) is maintained at 6.05%

These rates will take effect on 4 October 2022.
