Hutchison Ports Thailand receives delivery of a further nine autonomous trucks

Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT), the nation's leading port operator, has moved forward in its smart port transformation with the arrival of a further nine new autonomous trucks to add to the existing fleet of six. The driverless electric trucks will further improve safety and service levels at HPT's Terminal D at Laem Chabang Port and will align with HPT's advanced technology roadmap. HPT's Terminal D is one of the most advanced container terminals in the world and is the first container terminal globally to successfully implement mixed traffic mode terminal operations. Since 2020, the existing fleet of six autonomous trucks have already moved 120,000 containers within Terminal D.
