The Erawan Group Partners with BSGF, Signs MOU as the First Hotel Group to Manage Used Cooking Oil for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Production

Under this collaboration, ERAWAN will encourage hotels, resorts, and businesses under its management to sell used cooking oil to BSGF through the "Fry to Fly" initiative to be converted into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This low-carbon aviation fuel can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 80% compared to current aviation fuels, aligning with sustainability management goals and helping to mitigate the impact of climate change.

This partnership not only reduces carbon emissions into the atmosphere but also promotes systematic management of used cooking oil, preventing it from being reused or improperly disposed of, which benefits both consumer health and the environment. During the same event, Ms. Sutida Utthapan, Assistant Director-General of the Department of Health and Director of the Food and Water Sanitation Bureau, awarded the "No Refry" certificate to the hotels involved in this MOU.

This initiative reflects ERAWAN's commitment to providing international-standard hotel services while also being socially and environmentally responsible, contributing to the sustainable development of the tourism industry.
