KTC-Shopee alliance targets cost relief for cardholders amid 9.9 e-commerce surge

"In the past 7 months (January - July 2024), KTC members' online spending behavior has shifted year-over-year. Members are making purchases more frequently, although the amount spent per transaction has decreased. This is evident from the nearly 40% consistent growth in credit card transactions via e-marketplace platforms. These platforms have been actively driving consumer engagement with numerous sales promotions, such as discount codes during Double Date, PAYDAY and live-streaming sales of products at special rates, encouraging consumers to make more value-driven purchases on items they need."
