Introducing Trusted Contacts for Enhanced Safety

With the new Trusted Contacts feature, riders and driver partners can add friends or family members to their accounts. If Bolt's Safety Team is unable to reach the account holder during a critical situation, such as a Ride Check alert or Emergency Assist request, these designated contacts can be notified, helping ensure a faster, more effective response.

This added layer of protection empowers users and offers reassurance that someone they trust can be looped in quickly when it matters most.

New Four-Digit Trip Pick-Up Codes to Ensure Secure Matches

This feature includes a unique four-digit trip pick-up code to help riders and driver partners confirm they are meeting the right person before a trip begins. This feature aims to prevent mismatched rides, particularly in busy areas, at night, or when riders may not easily recognise the correct vehicle.

When a rider enables this feature through their Safety Settings, a randomly generated four-digit pick-up code will appear on their trip order screen. The corresponding driver partner will be notified that a code is required to confirm their arrival in the app. Before the trip begins, the driver must input the correct pick-up code to ensure a secure match.
