The Miss International Queen 2025 (MIQ 2025) competition has officially launched in Chiang Mai, with the aim of solidifying Thailand's reputation as a premier cultural tourism destination and to elevate Thai Soft Power on the global stage. Twenty-three stunning contestants from 23 nations have received a warm Lanna welcome from Chiang Mai Province, ready to engage in pre-pageant activities and experience Thailand's unique cultural heritage. They were honored by Mr. Itthirat Sinarak, Director of the Chiang Mai Office of Tourism and Sports; Mr. Keng Chaiwarin, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chiang Mai Office; Mr. Kittikhun Khumket, Representative of the Director of Chiang Mai International Airport; and Mr. Jakkapong Sitthilo, Senior Policy and Planning Analyst (Special Expertise), at Chiang Mai International Airport, for activities taking place in Chiang Mai from September 8-11, 2025, before advancing to the next round of the competition.

Over three immersive days at the RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort Chiang Mai, contestants will truly connect with the natural splendor, rich culture, and distinctive Lanna way of life. Activities include "To The Nature's Embrace," an eco-tourism focused journey, and "To The Art Of Lanna Legacy," offering insights into diverse Lanna handicrafts and traditional local life. They will also explore key local attractions, with support from Chiang Mai Province and the Chiang Mai Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports.
A highlight not to be missed is the "Miss International Queen 2025 Gala Night: Culture & Couture in Chiang Mai," scheduled for the evening of September 10, 2025, at the Anantara Chiang Mai Resort. Contestants will grace "The Lanna Queen's Garden Fashion Show," showcasing exquisite "Contemporary Lanna" attire. These designs, crafted by the internationally acclaimed Thai designer, Ajarn Hirankrit Pattaraboriboonkul, masterfully blend the timeless beauty of Lanna art with cutting-edge global fashion.
