Long Dtai at Cape Fahn Hotel, Koh Samui - a Michelin Guide Thailand selection for 2024 and 2025 - is set to host a special dining experience of the year "Kalaya Southern Thai Cookbook Inspired Dinner at Long Dtai" - Chef Nok Suntaranon X Chef David Thompson. This exclusive one-night-only experience features an extraordinary collaboration between two culinary icons, Chef Nok - Chutatip Suntaranon, celebrity chef and owner of the Kalaya Thai Restaurant in Philadelphia, and one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2025, and Chef David Thompson, world-renowned Australian chef and a legendary figure in Thai cuisine. Together, they will present a specially curated Southern Thai set dinner, blending authentic flavour with refined culinary artistry. The event takes place on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, from 18:00 to 23:00 hrs., and is priced at 3,800++ THB per person, inclusive of one signature cocktail.

Every dish is inspired by Kalaya's Southern Thai Kitchen: A Cookbook by Chef Nok. Jutatip Suntaranon merged with the renowned culinary mastery of Chef David Thompson, whose deep expertise in Thai cooking has led to Michelin-starred acclaim around the world. The evening promises a bold and immersive Southern Thai dining experience. The specially curated set menu begins with appetisers designed to impress from the very first bite, such as Sakoo Sai Pla, Miang Koey Waan Chomphu, Hoy Krang Gorlae. The main courses will feature the finest local ingredients, from fresh seafood sourced from local fishermen to seasonal vegetables grown by community farms, brought to life through vibrant, flavour-forward dishes such as Lhon Pu, Gaeng Leung, Muek Tom Nam Dam, Gaeng Pajri, and Yam Phak Kood Hoy Krang. The experience concludes with a trio of refined desserts, including Jackfruit Mor Gaeng, Coconut Crumble Pudding and Salak in Perfumed Syrup Under Ice.
