Bolt continues collaboration with RaksThai Foundation to promote inclusive safety awareness for drivers

As ride-hailing grows across Thailand, Bolt continues to support efforts to raise service awareness, not only through technology but through collaboration. This session, titled "Ensuring Safety During a Ride: Enhancing Confidence and Driving Safely with Bolt", offered driver-partners the opportunity to explore guidance on navigating sensitive situations respectfully, contributing to a welcoming ride environment for all.

Led by Ms. Atiya Kulgobkiat from RaksThai Foundation, the session covered key topics including:

• Respecting passenger privacy and personal space
• Communicating professionally without overstepping boundaries
• Understanding the diverse needs and backgrounds of today's riders

Real-life examples, such as unsolicited comments or personal questions, were explored through role-play exercises, allowing participants to reflect and share approaches in a supportive setting.

The session also included a demonstration of Bolt's in-app safety features, which are designed to support both riders and drivers. These include the SOS button, trip sharing, in-ride audio recording, selfie-based identity verification, and tools like "Trusted Contact" and "Pick-up Code" all of which help foster a secure and transparent platform experience.

"We're grateful to RaksThai Foundation for their ongoing collaboration. Initiatives like this help us create the right conditions for safe, inclusive, and empowering ride experiences."

As part of Bolt's ongoing work to promote safer platform experiences, the company has suspended access for nearly 4,000 driver accounts in Thailand over the past six months. These actions followed internal evaluations and user reports of behaviour that violated Bolt's platform standards, including conduct that may create unnecessary safety risks or discomfort for users.

"We take safety and respectful service seriously," added Suksiritarnan. "Whenever we receive information about concerning behaviour, we review and act in line with our platform terms. We will continue improving our safety systems and supporting an environment where both drivers and riders feel protected."

This event reflects Bolt's continued efforts to invest in safety features, inclusive design, and accessible support resources. By collaborating with local experts and offering optional guidance, Bolt aims to contribute to a mobility ecosystem where riders and drivers alike feel respected and confident.
