DONKI (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Health Region 5, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance and promote the marketing of health products from local communities. This initiative aims to drive product quality development and expand markets both domestically and internationally. The signing ceremony was held on June 27.

Ms. Supattra Boonserm, Inspector-General, Health Region 5, Ministry of Public Health stated, "This collaboration with DONKI (Thailand) Co., Ltd. will help strengthen the development and market expansion of high-quality, standardized health products for Thai consumers.
Our joint efforts will enhance product quality while contributing to economic growth at both national and grassroots levels. We are confident that this initiative will bring sustainable benefits to the public and Thailand's health product industry."
Mr. Teiji Oomura President, DONKI (Thailand) Co., Ltd. commented, "The signing of this MOU not only supports the promotion of quality health products from local sources, but also reflects our firm commitment to enhancing the quality of life and economic development in Thailand.
We hope this project will become a model of effective collaboration between the public and private sectors, delivering long-term benefits to both the people and the economy."
The MOU focuses on elevating the quality of health products through the promotion of international-standard manufacturing, while expanding access to both domestic and overseas markets—particularly by creating new business pathways for goods produced in Health Region 5.
DONKI (Thailand) is also committed to supporting the development of Private Brand (PB) products to enhance competitiveness in the retail sector. This includes fostering the growth of PB goods made with locally sourced ingredients that are suitable for export, thereby reducing reliance on imports and reinforcing the company's role in the domestic industry.
Such objectives are fully aligned with the shared vision and mission of both parties, reflecting a mutual commitment to sustainable development and local economic empowerment. The official signing ceremony to mark this significant collaboration was held on June 27, 2025.
