Another remarkable phenomenon was the elegant "return" of National Artist Chalermchai Kositpipat. All 7 of his featured works were successfully sold through both the live auction and private sales, totaling over 15 million Baht. This reaffirms his status as a powerhouse in the art market for Thai Modern Art genre. The highlight piece, "Mind of the Noble One / Celestial Lotus (1992)," sparked a fierce bidding war, starting at 2,800,000 Baht and closing at 4,642,000 Baht. Additionally, two charitable art prints raised over 380,000 Baht for Siriraj Hospital and Ramathibodi Hospital, proving that his work carries not only artistic value but also deep social impact and inspiration.

  • New record-breaking for several prominent artists:
  • Chamruang Wichienket: The sculpture "Volume (1969)" closed at 1,218,525 Baht.
  • Chalood Nimsamer: A large-scale work from 1996 reached 1,624,700 Baht.
  • Kitti Narod: One of the most sought-after contemporary artists, whose work saw a dramatic jump from an opening of 480,000 Baht to a final hammer price of 1,218,525 Baht.
  • Takashi Murakami: The world-renowned artist's "LV Cherry Infinity (2024)" closed at 812,350 Baht.

"The overall success of 'The Extraordinaire 2026' is a testament to the robust growth of the Thai art market.
