Agoda's New Horizons ranking, which is released annually, compares the accommodation booking ranks of the two previous years to identify the highest climbers in international travel in Asia.

Koh Chang is the fastest-growing destination on Thailand's travel map, rising five spots from 17th in 2024 to 12th in 2025 among top inbound destinations. It is surprisingly accessible, just a short drive from Bangkok, giving travelers the full island experience with all the attractions of famous southern destinations like Koh Samui or Phuket without the need to fly. As Thailand's second-largest island, Koh Chang offers diverse natural attractions, including lush rainforests, waterfalls, and coral reefs. Travelers can enjoy activities such as snorkeling, hiking jungle trails, camping, kayaking, relaxing on peaceful beaches, and taking a boat tour to see fireflies.

Reflecting evolving Thai travel preferences, Nonthaburi climbed ten places in the domestic destination rankings, rising from 46th to 36th and emerging as a growing choice for local travelers. Located just north of Bangkok along the Chao Phraya River, Nonthaburi is known for its rich cultural heritage, historic temples, and well-preserved communities. Key attractions such as Koh Kret represent the province's Mon heritage, where travelers can cycle around the island, observe traditional pottery making, explore weekend markets, and sample local desserts. Combined with scenic river cruises and easy accessibility from Bangkok, Nonthaburi offers a culturally rich yet relaxing escape for travelers.

Thai travelers venturing overseas are increasingly turning their attention to Beijing, which has climbed eight spots in popularity among outbound destinations, rising from 39th to 31st. As China's capital, Beijing is renowned for its rich history, imperial architecture, and dynamic city life. Key attractions such as the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace showcase the city's centuries-old imperial heritage, where visitors can explore grand palaces, stroll through historic gardens, and learn about traditional Chinese culture. Travelers can also experience bustling street markets, sample authentic Beijing cuisine such as Peking duck, and walk along the iconic Great Wall nearby.

Looking at the top emerging destinations for Asian travelers combined, Sapa (Vietnam) tops the list as Asia's rising star. Vietnam's scenic mountain destination is followed by Okayama (Japan), Bandung (Indonesia), Matsuyama (Japan), and Takamatsu (Japan) as the top five destinations in Asia showcasing the highest growth in international travel interest.
