The Eco-School Project is a collaboration between Bangchak, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and Phra Khanong and Bangna District Offices, launched in 2020 with schools surrounding Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery. The project adopts a Whole School Approach to promote knowledge, analytical thinking, responsibility, and sustainable living among students, empowering them as environmentally conscious citizens. Each school develops environmental projects addressing local issues such as waste management, wastewater treatment, chemical reduction, green space conservation, and eco-friendly consumption, making schools role models and "living laboratories" for students, teachers, and staff. These efforts drive continuous, sustainable environmental conservation across schools, communities, and related agencies. Additionally, the 11 participating schools serve as collection points for used cooking oil from surrounding communities, which is processed into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) under Bangchak's "Fry to Fly" initiative, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting circular economy practices.
