Sun PhuQuoc Airways Accelerates Expansion in Thailand with Product Launch and New Bangkok-Phu Quoc Route

The event welcomed more than 100 representatives from travel agencies, tour operators, airline partners, corporate clients, media, and industry stakeholders across Thailand, marking an important milestone in Sun PhuQuoc Airways' market entry into Thailand ahead of the inaugural flight. The airline will operate one daily round-trip service, and through its General Sales Agent (GSA), TamGP, aims to rapidly establish a strong sales and distribution network while expanding its presence in the Thai market from day one.

During the event, Sun PhuQuoc Airways presented its network development strategy, flight schedule, products and services, and long-term vision for the Thai market. The Phu Quoc-Bangkok flight will depart at 10:35 and arrive in Bangkok at 11:55, while the return Bangkok-Phu Quoc service will depart at 13:10 and arrive in Phu Quoc at 14:30 (local time).

As the first full-service airline to operate the Bangkok-Phu Quoc route, Sun PhuQuoc Airways offers a premium travel experience with fares that include a complimentary light meal, 23 kg of checked baggage, and a family-friendly fare policy, with children's fares priced at 75% of the adult fare.

The airline extends the travel experience beyond the flight itself through an integrated service ecosystem, including hotel check-in, access to the Sun Executive Lounge, and its signature "Resort in the Sky" cabin concept. Passengers can also enjoy wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) together with carefully curated menus inspired by Vietnamese, Asian, and Western cuisine.

To celebrate the launch of the new route, passengers travelling from Bangkok between 8 August 2026 and 8 February 2027 will receive a complimentary Sun World Hon Thom Cable Car ticket, along with discounts of up to 30% on selected accommodation, dining, and entertainment experiences across the Sun Group ecosystem in South Phu Quoc.

In addition, travellers booking group travel for two or more passengers between 11 July and 10 August 2026 can enjoy airfare discounts of up to 30%.

Through Sun Signature, Sun Group's loyalty programme, passengers can earn points to redeem reward flights, checked baggage allowances, preferred seat selections, and exclusive privileges across the Sun Group ecosystem. The programme's two highest membership tiers are integrated with global payment capabilities through NCB Bank and Visa, delivering a seamless travel and lifestyle experience.

As one of Southeast Asia's leading aviation hubs, Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport offers extensive connectivity to hundreds of destinations worldwide. Beyond strengthening links between two of the region's most popular leisure destinations, the new Bangkok-Phu Quoc route also enhances access to Phu Quoc for international travellers connecting through Thailand from South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Following the launch of Bangkok, Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans to further expand its international network to Malaysia, India, Japan, Russia, and Central Asia, while increasing its fleet to 32 aircraft by the end of 2026 to support continued growth.

Alongside its network expansion, the airline continues to maintain high operational standards. During the first half of 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways achieved an on-time performance (OTP) rate of 85.71%, outperforming the industry average of 75.5% by 10.21 percentage points.
