Bangkok, Thailand, 09 July 2026 - Nestle today announced an investment of THB 23 billion to build a new NESCAFE manufacturing facility in Thailand. Located in Samut Prakan province, the new facility will strengthen Nestle's coffee business in Thailand and support export opportunities.

The state-of-the-art facility will manufacture a broad range of core NESCAFE products including Pure Soluble Coffee, Coffee Mixes and Ready-to-Drink formats. Equipped with advanced manufacturing technology and artificial intelligence (AI), the new factory will enhance high quality standards, improve efficiency, and support environmentally sustainable operations. It will also include an advanced on-site distribution center for multi-category products, and the total project is expected to create more than 520 local jobs, including technology specialists as well as mid- and high-skilled employees.

Mr. Nikhil Chand, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nestle Indochina, said "Thailand has been an important market for Nestle for more than 130 years. This investment reflects our confidence in the country and our commitment to contributing positively to Thai society, the economy, local communities, and the environment."

"The new facility, comprising an advanced coffee manufacturing site and an on-site distribution center designed to support multiple product categories, will be equipped with the latest technology and AI to deliver high-quality products and enhance operational efficiency for the benefit of consumers and customers. The new coffee factory will produce NESCAFE products using innovation and a wide range of locally sourced ingredients and raw materials, including coffee beans, sugar, and fresh milk from Thai farmers, further supporting local agriculture and economic development," Mr. Chand added.

The value of local ingredients and materials used in production at the new factory is estimated at approximately THB 4.3 billion per year. The project has been granted an investment support package by the Thailand Board of Investment, in line with the country's ambition to advance a Bio-Circular-Green economy. The facility is expected to begin operations in the latter part of 2028.

The new facility will feature Nestle's most advanced coffee extraction technology and state-of-the-art aroma preservation technology as well as cutting-edge automation, including robotic systems, and an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) warehouse. AI, machine learning, and advanced process controls will also be part of the factory's operations, helping to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability across the production process.

The investment builds on Nestle's long-standing contribution to Thailand. Between 2018 and 2025, Nestle invested more than THB 27.8 billion in the country to expand manufacturing capabilities across key product categories, including ready-to-drink beverages and pet food. Nestle has also been a major buyer of Thailand's Robusta coffee beans for more than four decades and continues to support local farmers through knowledge sharing and the distribution of high-quality coffee plantlets developed by Nestle's coffee research center. In addition, Nestle is supporting the expansion of coffee plantations to various parts of Thailand to help meet the country's growing coffee consumption trend and address the gap in domestic coffee supply, including the recent expansion of Robusta coffee plantations to Mae Sot in Tak province.

NESCAFE, a leading international coffee brand established by Nestle in 1938, was launched in Thailand in 1973 and has become the country's No.1 coffee brand. The new facility marks an important milestone for Nestle to further reinforce the company's commitment to delivering high-quality products for consumers while contributing to long-term economic and social development for Thailand.
