WP Energy Mobilizes Over 200 Employees for "TREASURE HUNT ON THE BEACH"

WP Energy Public Company Limited, a leading integrated energy group and distributor of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) under the "Worldgas" brand, recently reinforced its commitment to environmental preservation through its "TREASURE HUNT ON THE BEACH" initiative. Over 200 executives and employees gathered at Amara Watersport in Sattahip, Chonburi, to clear waste from coastal and marine areas, diverting collected debris into upcycling pipelines in line with circular economy principles.

This activity reflects WP Energy's commitment to employee engagement in environmental care, alongside promoting proper waste management to reduce long-term impacts on marine ecosystems and natural resources.

Chomkamol Poompanmoung, Chief Executive Officer of WP Energy Public Company Limited, stated: "At WP Energy, we believe sustainable business growth is inseparable from environmental stewardship. We prioritize engaging our employees through real-world actions, allowing them to witness firsthand the value of responsible resource management.

'TREASURE HUNT ON THE BEACH' goes beyond simply cleaning up a coastline. It serves as an educational platform on waste segregation, resource recovery, and circular economy—all vital to reducing our long-term environmental footprint.

In total, the initiative successfully recovered 300.1 kg of waste from the area. This included 88 kg of glass bottles, 43 kg of plastic bottles, 5 kg of bottle caps, 91 kg of ropes, and 73.1 kg of other general waste. All collected materials will be handed over to local community enterprises to be developed and upcycled into value-added products and souvenirs, creating economic opportunities for local residents while preventing waste from entering landfills or returning to the ocean.

"TREASURE HUNT ON THE BEACH" represents a key milestone under WP Energy's "WE PROMISE" sustainability framework, which seeks to balance commercial success with environmental protection and social value creation.
