Bangkok, 13 August 2026 - The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and LINE MAN Wongnai are advancing Thailand's AI talent development through LINE MAN Wongnai Tech Camp 2026, a technology camp for secondary school students. The event also marks the launch of the "AI Thinking Framework," a practical learning framework developed from LINE MAN Wongnai's real-world experience working with AI.
More than 100 students at the camp will be the first to learn and apply the framework through real-world challenges alongside LINE MAN Wongnai's teams, before it is made available for free download nationwide.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thiradet Jiarasuksakun, President of the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST); and Yod Chinsupakul, CEO of LINE MAN Wongnai.
Prof. Dr. Yoschanan Wongsawat said, "MHESI is driving human capital development under the national agenda 'Thailand?: Empowering Thailand, Elevating Human Capital,' with a focus on building a lifelong learning ecosystem and developing highly skilled talent for future industries, particularly AI as a critical foundational technology.
"LINE MAN Wongnai Tech Camp 2026 demonstrates how knowledge and innovation developed by Thailand's private sector can be shared for broader public benefit. The AI Thinking Framework will be available for free nationwide, while MHESI and IPST will help extend this knowledge to educational institutions for practical use in teaching and learning. Together, we aim to strengthen Thailand's national skill framework and develop a new generation of AI talent to drive the country forward."
Yod Chinsupakul, CEO of LINE MAN Wongnai, said, "AI skills have become an important benchmark for talent assessment and recruitment across organizations worldwide. Thailand's competitiveness will increasingly depend on our ability to develop people who can keep pace with technology.
"The challenge for Thai education is not only teaching students how to use AI tools, but also developing a shared AI Thinking approach across the learning system — from how students use AI to solve problems to how educators assess their learning. This is essential to bridging the gap between the classroom and real-world workforce expectations.
"As a Thai technology company, we believe the private sector has a role to play in building the talent ecosystem from the ground up. The AI Thinking Framework brings together lessons from our internal AI Hackathon and real-world operations and makes them freely available to educational institutions and the public. Through this initiative, we hope to share practical knowledge and help Thailand become a hub for talent capable of creating meaningful impact in the AI era."
LINE MAN Wongnai Tech Camp, formerly known as Spectrum Tech Camp, is now in its third year as part of the company's broader talent ecosystem initiative. Building on the first two years, which focused on promoting diversity in the technology industry, the 2026 program has been redesigned around "AI Thinking."
The camp brings together more than 100 students from Grades 9-12 (Mathayom 3-6)to develop skills aligned with the future workforce, including critical thinking, questioning, evaluation, and practical AI-powered problem solving.
Students gain hands-on experience and learn directly from LINE MAN Wongnai executives, including Pattrawoot Suesatayasilp, Chief Technology Officer; Anontawong Marukpitak, SVP of People and Communications; and Dr. Virot Chiraphadhanakul, VP of AI, as well as teams behind a platform serving more than 10 million users who have firsthand experience applying AI and participating in the company's internal AI Hackathon. The program also features a special session with Phupha Amornkijja, creator of "Mr. Phoops Kon Tuen Rian."
Three Core Principles of the "AI Thinking Framework"
According to Dr. Virot Chiraphadhanakul, VP of AI at LINE MAN Wongnai, the LINE MAN Wongnai AI Thinking Framework distills practical lessons from building and operating a technology platform at national scale into three core principles:
- Know when and when not to use AI: Understand AI's strengths and limitations, choose the right use cases, and recognize potential errors or unreliable outputs.
- Think before asking AI: Start by exploring what you already know, so you can ask precise questions and avoid allowing AI to define or limit your thinking.
- Seek understanding, not just answers: Avoid becoming dependent on AI at the expense of learning. Instead, use AI as a thinking partner to exercise your reasoning, organize ideas, and continuously strengthen your skills.
Students at LINE MAN Wongnai Tech Camp 2026 will be the first to put the framework into practice through three real-world learning cases: using AI to verify rider documents and information; creating personalized marketing messages to promote restaurants; and building an intelligent Q&A assistant. Through these exercises, participants will experience how AI is applied in real working environments alongside LINE MAN Wongnai teams.
