Thailand-Canada Test First Mobile Carbon Capture Unit in Cement Sector

Dr. Chana Poomee, Honourary Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and President of ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM), together withMs. Richelle Bourgoin, Deputy Minister of Trade and Export Development of Saskatchewan, Canada, advanced Thailand-Canada cooperation by testing a Mobile Carbon Capture Unit (MCCU) for the first time at the Saraburi Sandbox under the Decarbonization of the Cement and Concrete Sectors in Thailand project, to evaluate the technology ahead of industrial-scale deployment, accelerating the transition to Net Zero and strengthening long-term competitiveness.
