MR. D.I.Y. Joins "Bangkok Magic Hands Sort to Give…for Bangkok Road Sweepers" for the Third Year, Turning Plastic Bottles into Reflective Vests for Sanitation Workers
Bangkok, 28 August 2026 - MR. D.I.Y. Holding (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Thailand's leading home improvement and lifestyle retailer, celebrates its 10th anniversary by continuing its environmental collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) for the third consecutive year under the "MR. D.I.Y. Cares" project. The company has delivered more than 1,500 sorted used plastic bottles to the Bangkok Magic Hands "Sort to Give…for Bangkok Road Sweepers" project under the Department of Environment, BMA, for recycling and upcycling into reflective vests for sanitation workers of Bangkok. At the handover ceremony, Mr. Arnupharp Kongmalai, Vice President of Marketing, MR. D.I.Y. Holding (Thailand) Public Company Limited, represented the company in delivering the used plastic bottles, with Ms. Woranuch Suaykakaow, Director of the Environment Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, representing BMA in receiving the donation at the Waste Separation Drop-off Point, Bangkok City Hall, Din Daeng District.
Mr. Arnupharp Kongmalai, Vice President of Marketing at MR. D.I.Y. Holding (Thailand) Public Company Limited, stated, "Over the past 10 years, MR. D.I.Y. has been committed to growing alongside Thai consumers while consistently prioritising social and environmental responsibility. This collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has been made possible through the cooperation of MR. D.I.Y. employees, who have come together to separate used plastic bottles and send them into the recycling process to be made into reflective vests for sanitation workers across all 50 districts of Bangkok, who play an important role in taking care of our city. This activity not only helps raise environmental awareness within our organization, but we also believe that when all sectors work together, small actions can become an important force in creating sustainable benefits for society and the environment."
The collection of used plastic bottles is part of the "MR. D.I.Y. Cares" project, which has consistently carried out social, environmental, and governance initiatives for more than eight years. This also marks the third consecutive year of collaboration with the Bangkok Magic Hands "Sort to Give…for Bangkok Road Sweepers" project under the Department of Environment, BMA.
In 2026, MR. D.I.Y. delivered more than 1,500 used plastic bottles. Throughout the three-year collaboration from 2024 to 2026, the company has delivered more than 3,500 used plastic bottles, which have been recycled into more than 300 reflective vests for sanitation workers. This initiative reflects MR. D.I.Y.'s commitment to promoting waste separation at source and transforming used materials into valuable resources that can create tangible benefits for society, while supporting sustainable environmental practices.
