SUBCON Thailand 2022, the best regional business matching event, is ready to organize on May 18-21 at BITEC, Bangna

BOI joins forces with Informa Markets and the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association to organize "SUBCON Thailand 2022", the best business matching event and industrial parts sourcing exhibition with an anticipated to achieve 1,400 business matches - all of which are expected to create business value at over 5 billion baht. The event is to emphasize Thailand as global and ASEAN's sourcing excellence and subcontracting center.

Ms. Sonklin Ploymee Deputy Secretary General of the Board of Investment (BOI), said that the Thai subcontracting industry is growing every year. Although the industry has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic during the past few years, the overall industry is still on the rise in particular targeted industries. This has been proved by the rising number of new applications for investment promotion in the first quarter of the year (Jan.-Mar.), which was increased by more than 10 percent compared to the same period last year, with a combined investment value of more than 78 billion baht, or accounted by 71 percent of the value of the total applications. Throughout the past period, the value of applications for investment promotion in the targeted industries accounted for approximately 50 percent of the total value. This reflects that Thailand is very well prepared for the targeted industry.

Therefore, for more than 16 years, the BOI has continuously cooperated with Informa Markets and the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association to organize "SUBCON Thailand 2022" to create a business environment to support the growth of targeted industries. The event will also serve Thai manufacturers who are ready to enter into supply chain productions for targeted industries and being a subcontracting company for large companies both domestically and internationally who will come to be buyers, which the BOI has invited to visit the event. This year, we target to achieve more than 1,400 business matches, all of which are expected to create business value at over 5 billion baht.

"The BOI together with 16 overseas BOI offices has invited key buyers in the target industries. Both domestic and international buyers will participate in business matching activities and various activities at the event, more than 400 companies from 10 countries such as Singapore, Japan, Korea, China, India, England, Germany, Belgium, Spain, with leading companies accepting to join the business matching activity. Those firms are such as Mercedes-Benz / Ducati / Isuzu / Siam Toyota / Thai Samsung / and Robert Borsch Automotive," Ms. Sonklin said.

The event will also feature the Buyer's Village zone where the leading part buyers are located and feature parts that require subcontractors including information on procurement policies from leading parts buyers such as Mercedes / Robert Borsch Automotive / EG Group, medical glove manufacturers / Belgian manufacturers in the IoT and software industry, and air purifiers manufacturer from England, Ms. Sonklin added.

this year, SUBCON Thailand will be held on a full platform again.
