ผลการจัดอันดับ QS World University Rankings: Asia 2020 ยกให้ National University of Singapore เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยอันดับหนึ่งของเอเชียเป็นปีที่ 2 ติดต่อกัน ส่วนมหาวิทยาลัยร่วมชาติอีกแห่งอย่าง Nanyang Technological University ได้ขยับขึ้นมาเป็นอันดับสอง เบียด University of Hong Kong ลงเป็นอันดับสาม QS ได้ทำการจัดอันดับสถาบันการศึกษายอดเยี่ยม 550 อันดับแรกของเอเชียจาก 18 สถานที่ตั้งด้วยกัน โดยมีระเบียบวิธีที่อาศัยหลักเกณฑ์ 11 ประการ ชุดข้อมูลดังกล่าวครอบคลุมการสำรวจความคิดเห็นของนักวิชาการและนายจ้างเป็นจำนวนมากที่สุดในโลกในแง่ของคุณภาพมหาวิทยาลัย แบ่งเป็นคณะอาจารย์และผู้นำแวดวงวิชาการกว่า 90,000 ราย และผู้จัดการที่เป็นผู้ว่าจ้างงานกว่า 44,000 ราย
