Bangkok--May 4--SET Settrade.com's CEO, Chanisa Chutipat, revealed that the company has provided financial support for Thai Taekwondo athletes who will take part in the 2004 Olympics games. Settrade.com recognizes the importance of having athletes represent Thailand to spread the word about our country to the rest of the world and hopefully bring home some medals that all Thais can be proud of. This year, the Thai Taekwondo team will compete for medals in four categories. Settrade.com has provided Bht.2,000,000 in financial support to the Taekwondo Association of Thailand in order to help boost the athletes' morale. Meanwhile, the Taekwondo Association of Thailand's Secretary-General, Pimol Srivikorn, revealed that the four athletes that will join this year's Olympics Games in Greece are Kriengkrai Noi-kerd, three-time gold medalist from the Seagames, in the less than 80-kgs category, Atsadej Suthikulkarn, bronze medalist from the 22nd Seagames in Vietnam in the less than 58-kgs category, Nuchjarin Sukkongdumnoen, gold medalist from the 22nd Seagames in Vietnam will contest in the less than 57-kgs category and Yaowapa Burapolchai, bronze medalist from the World Taekwondo Tournament in Germany will represent Thailand in the less than 49-kgs category. All of them will participate in intensive training in Taiwan, South Korea, Spain and the U.S. under the supervision of their trainers; Ms. Choi Young Seok and Tinn Paowongsakul, before traveling to Athens for the 28th Olympics Games in Greece, held between August 13th and the 29th, 2004. "Such valuable support from the private sector enables our athletes to receive more overseas training and preparation which is essential for Thai athletes who will be contesting for medals at the Olympics games, where numerous talented competitors will be doing their best.
