Leading by example! BTS Group's sustainability-driven practices fit for a better future.

Mr. Daniel Ross, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Sustainability of BTS Group Holdings PCL elaborated that despite the Company's success achieved so far, particularly in environmental areas where it is leading the decarbonisation of the Transport sector and reducing air pollution, it is still challenging to change people's perception away from a 'profit only' framework to consider the 3Ps (people, planet, profit). BTS Group has devoted importance to "Sustainability in Process", which seeks the betterment of its operation from sourcing to delivery of goods and services and maintains an Environmental Management Policy that regulates its departments and directs its employees to keep it a carbon-neutral company, to the benefit of all of its stakeholders.

The Chief Investment Officer noted nonetheless, that "The investment community is advanced in recognising the benefit of sustainable investments.  We have seen that reflected in the strong demand and cheaper financing cost for green financing that the BTS Group and others have raised in the last 2 years, as well as the growing momentum to invest in higher scoring ESG equities.  This capital will also help the Company build its clean energy capability, which is expected to start with a rooftop solar system being installed on the depot for the Pink and Yellow rail mass transit lines"
