Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. announced it has started its first production line for the Honda e:N1, a 100% fully electric SUV, at the Honda plant in Rojana Industrial Park, Prachin Buri, in early December. This historic milestone makes Honda the first major Japanese car brand to produce electric passenger cars in Thailand, built to the rigorous production standards supported by Honda's cutting-edge technology globally. Starting production of the Honda e:N1 in Thailand is a crucial step for Honda, demonstrating the company's unwavering confidence in and continued commitment to conducting business in the country. This milestone also adds substantial value to Thailand's automotive industry, both in terms of local production capabilities and using domestically sourced parts.
Honda continually reinforces its market leadership by serving the diverse lifestyle needs of Thai consumers. Offering advanced driving technology that covers internal combustion engines, a full hybrid e:HEV system, and now a 100% battery electric drive system vehicle (EV), Honda is moving forward to achieve its 2030 target of producing and selling more than two million battery electric vehicles (BEVs) globally.
Honda will announce details of the launch and distribution channels for the Honda e:N1 in the first quarter of 2024.
