UOB Thailand partners with Thammasat Business School to enhance skillsets for business bankers

Through this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), UOB and TBS will jointly develop a comprehensive three-month curriculum. The programme will integrate lectures, case studies, workshops, simulations, and executive masterclasses for 30 high performing Relationship Managers in Business Banking function. Participants will engage in an extensive range of topics, including emerging trends in SMEs, performance strategy simulations, sales monitoring, risk management, account planning and essential communication skills and leadership skills.

This year programme not only provides technical knowledge and essential business acumen but also enhances communication and leadership skill. Asst Prof Dr Oraphan Yolrabil, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Alliance Network, Thammasat Business School said "We are excited to partnering with UOB Thailand to advance the Bank's talent development agenda. This year's syllabus focuses on customer centricity and developing an agile mindset. Participants will practice decision-making, problem-solving and consultative selling skills to recommend financial products that meet customers' needs. They will also learn effective communication skills to maintain their competitive edge astrusted financial advisers."

Since its inception in 2017, 102 SME bankers have been selected for the Banker's Executive Certification programme. Of these, 55 graduates have advanced to senior management positions within UOB Thailand.
