SiS Teams up with ZStack to Tap Cloud Computing Market in Thailand

Mr. Somchai Sittichaisrichart, Managing Director, SiS Distribution (Thailand) Public Company Limited or SiS, said that SiS is excited to partner with ZStack, a leading cloud computing technologies vendor that is rapidly growing. SiS has been appointed as the sole distributor in Thailand. The company will sell ZStack products through its distribution channels that include more than 10,000 resellers. Regarding the trend of Thailand’s IT market, Mr. Somchai said that the purchasing power of the household sector has weakened due to the economic slowdown and rising household debt, while the government spending was delayed. Consequently, IT product sales to consumers and government agencies shrank in the first half of the year, compared to last year. However, with the approval of the government's budget, it is expected that this will help stimulate spending in the second half of the year. In fact, cloud computing market in Thailand is continuously growing despite the economic recession as the world’s leading IT companies have been investing in building data centers in Thailand.
