กรมอนามัย กระทรวงสาธารณสุข ชี้ "เบาหวานขณะตั้งครรภ์" เสี่ยงคลอดก่อนกำหนด เพิ่มภาระสุขภาพระยะยาว แนะหญิงวัยเจริญพันธุ์วางแผนตั้งครรภ์ ควบคุมน้ำหนักให้อยู่ในเกณฑ์ปกติ และคัดกรองความเสี่ยงอย่างต่อเนื่อง ลดภาวะแทรกซ้อน สร้างจุดเริ่มต้นชีวิตที่มีคุณภาพ แพทย์หญิงอัมพร เบญจพลพิทักษ์ อธิบดีกรมอนามัย กล่าวว่า ภาวะเบาหวานในหญิงตั้งครรภ์เป็นปัจจัยเสี่ยงสำคัญของการคลอดก่อนกำหนด ซึ่งส่งผลต่อสุขภาพทารกและภาระค่าใช้จ่ายด้านสาธารณสุขในระยะยาว จากข้อมูลพบว่า หญิงตั้งครรภ์ในกลุ่มประชากรเอเชียที่มีค่าดัชนีมวลกาย
