"Suphachai Chearavanont" Surprises as the Lyricist of "Gratitude", Winning Best Moral Song of the Year at the Thailand Moral Awards 2024

Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk, Privy Councillor, presided over the ceremony and presented the Best Moral Song of the Year award to the song "Gratitude", part of the True Little Monk Project. The award was presented to Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, Chief Executive Officer, Charoen Pokphand Group/ Chair of the Board of Directors, True Corporation Plc, as the lyricist of the song "Gratitude", which reflects moral principles that should guide one's life and is also one of CP Group's core values.

The song "Gratitude" was inspired by Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, Chief Executive Officer, Charoen Pokphand Group/ Chair of the Board of Directors, True Corporation Plc, who expressed after receiving the award, "It is a deep honor to have played a small part in promoting goodness in society through this song. The inspiration for writing 'Gratitude' came from my parents, especially my mother, who passed away exactly two years ago. This song is a tribute to her profound love and teachings. As the lyricist, I simply wrote from the heart, conveying a message of gratitude. The production and arrangement were brought to life by a talented team who helped complete the song beautifully."

"Gratitude is humanity's original and truest form of love. It is the starting point of compassion and empathy, core foundations of living together in harmony. If we instill this value in children from an early age, it can grow into gratitude toward their communities, society, and the world at large. Music is a medium that touches the heart deeply, and I believe that a song rich in moral value can sow seeds of goodness in the hearts of listeners in a lasting way. This song was inspired by a personal experience when I ordained as a monk for my mother and later invited my son to join the novice monkhood with me. It revealed to me the power of youth to learn and grow when given both secular and spiritual opportunities, they can truly develop into good and complete individuals."

But spiritually, we increasingly need 'moral media' to help restore balance. I believe that if digital media can deliver moral messages alongside entertainment in a balanced way, it can become a powerful force for driving sustainable societal change. I would like to thank everyone behind these moral media initiatives, as well as the judging committee and the Center For Morality Promotion for organizing such a meaningful event. I hope we can all work together to build a strong and thriving society rooted in moral values," Mr. Supachai concluded.

This award represents another significant milestone for Charoen Pokphand Group and True Corporation in promoting moral values in Thai society through the power of music. It reinforces the organizations' role in instilling positive values among youth and the general public.

The Thailand Moral Awards 2024, organized by the Center For Morality Promotion (CMP) (Public Organization), aims to recognize exemplary media that serve as moral role models and have made a tangible impact in fostering ethical behavior and goodness in society. The awards span nine media categories: drama, film, short videos distributed via social media, advertisements, songs, radio programs, television programs, books, and digital media. A total of 166 awards were presented, divided into three categories: media, individual, and community and organization. Among the companies under the group receiving accolades were True CJ Creations Co., Ltd., which won the Best Drama award for the television series Good Doctor: The Healing Heart, and CP ALL Public Company Limited, which won the Best Advertisement award for its Father's Day commercial "What's Your Best Memory?" and also received an honorable mention for "The Spirit of a Teacher".
