Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS), Chulalongkorn University, held its recognition ceremony, "CBS Pride Within - Together We Achieve Beyond," at Mahitaladhibesra Building. The event honored faculty members, staff, and students whose achievements have brought distinction to the faculty, the university, and Thailand through academic, professional, and extracurricular excellence.

For the first time, the awards extended beyond faculty and students to also celebrate the contributions of CBS staff. A shining example is "CBS WE CARE," a network that proactively supports students facing academic and emotional challenges, ensuring that no student is left without care.
Innovation also took center stage. CBS's Finance and Accounting Division earned First Runner-Up at the Hackathon for Growth: AI Together with CBS Genie, a chatbot designed to simplify financial processes and reduce workloads—showcasing how technology and teamwork can drive meaningful change.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tartat Mokkhamakkul, Dean of CBS, remarked: "Pride Within is not only about recognition—it is about creating role models, spreading positive energy, and inspiring continuous self-development. Together, we achieve beyond."
One of the most prestigious honors was the Puey Ungphakorn Award for Outstanding Young Economist 2025, presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanis Saengchote, Deputy Dean for Research at CBS. This was the first time the award went to a scholar specializing in banking and finance. His research on financial economics, blockchain, and digital currencies has informed national monetary policy and been published in leading international journals.
"This award recognizes young economists under 45 who consistently produce impactful research," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanis. "I have published over 15 papers, many focused on Thailand, in both domestic and international journals. Beyond recognition, I am most proud of mentoring students and encouraging them to share their work with society. For instance, one of my graduate students in finance, Thanwarat Limwattananukul, won The Best Paper Award—an achievement I hold especially dear."
CBS students also earned international acclaim. Kanuth Supthavichaikul, a fourth-year BBA student, received the MIT Award at the ASEAN-China-India Youth Leadership Summit 2024. After advancing to the final 20 teams, he was selected as one of only three participants—out of 180—to receive an MIT Professional Education scholarship, recognized for his teamwork, leadership, and innovative problem-solving under pressure.
CBS Pride Within also highlighted outstanding athletic achievements. Tanapatsorn Kongkasem and Ramitar Terananon proudly represented Thailand, winning gold medals in shooting and karate at regional competitions.
Beyond medals and accolades, CBS also celebrated leadership and service. Chalumporn Worarattanadharm, Vice President of the CBS Student Union, received the Outstanding Student Award 2024 for her dedication to community service and contributions to the university. She reflected, "Through student activities, I learned teamwork, built lasting relationships with peers and professors, and gained communication skills that prepare me for professional life."
Dean Tartat concluded: "CBS Pride Within - Together We Achieve Beyond is not just a celebration of success. It is an investment in inspiration—motivating our students, faculty, and staff to pursue continuous growth for the benefit of the faculty, the university, and the nation."
