Chevron (Thailand) Limited, the manufacturer and distributor of lubricant products under Caltex Havoline and Caltex Delo brands, reaffirmed its commitment to being the industrial partner that truly understands and meets the needs of Thailand's sugar industry. Demonstrating its expertise in lubricant technology, the company offers high-quality products and customized solutions for sugarcane trucks, agricultural machinery, and sugar mill equipment-machines that must operate under heavy workloads in challenging environments. Staying true to its concept of comprehensive protection from upstream to downstream in the sugarcane and sugar industry, Chevron continued to highlight its "Caltex Business: Getting Closer to Your Business" commitment at "Sugarex Thailand 2025", Asia's largest trade show and conference for sugar industry.
The overall outlook for 2025, still shows significant growth potential in the industry. Industry data indicates that cane crushing volume has recovered to 92 million tons, boosting sugar production by more than 14% compared with the 2023-2024 season. Meanwhile, exports this year are expected to expand by over 30% in both volume and value. These factors reflect the vital role of agriculture and industry in driving Thailand's economy, even amid global volatility.
Chevron's participation in Sugarex Thailand 2025 drew strong interest from visitors including sugar mill operators, sugarcane farmers, engineers, and heavy machinery users. This year's Caltex lubricants booth, themed "Caltex Business: Getting Closer to Your Business", showcased specialized products essential to Thailand's sugar industry. Highlights included Caltex Delo lubricants for sugarcane harvesters and trucks, along with specialty industrial lubricants such as Rando(R) hydraulic oil, Meropa(R) gear oil, GST(R) Advantage turbine oil, and specialized greases like Talcor(TM) Mill Brass Compound - designed specifically for sugar mill roller bearings. This grease features unique non-corrosive properties for copper alloys, high load capacity, strong adhesion, and resistance to contamination and washout by cane juice.
In a context where the industry needs to enhance competitiveness and manage costs effectively, Chevron, as a technology partner in lubricants showcased products and services covering the entire sugar production process-from vehicles such as sugarcane trucks and agricultural machinery to sugar mills handling cane transport, milling, and production, as well as related activities.
In addition, Chevron exchanged knowledge and experiences with industry experts to better understand the real needs of users. This feedback will help the company refine its solutions even further, strengthening Thailand's sugar industry toward sustainable growth. Mr. Santisak Thaipat, Country Chairman and General Manager, Chevron (Thailand) Limited, stated that "Chevron understands the challenges faced by the sugar industry—from competition, costs, and environmental standards to the pressure of declining export prices. We focused on lubricant solutions that minimize machine downtime, extend equipment life, and reduce maintenance costs, together with comprehensive consulting and analysis services. This enables operators to run their businesses sustainably and compete globally. Chevron's participation this year not only reinforces our role as lubricant experts but also reflects our commitment to being a close partner to Thailand's production sector—working together to build long-term strength and growth."
