GC Announces Successful Issuance of New Subordinated Hybrid Debentures

PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), a global leader in the chemical business and the chemical flagship of PTT Group, announced the success of its new subordinated hybrid debentures issuance, with a total offering size of THB 10,000 million.This issuance received strong demand from investors, underscoring confidence in GC's financial position and growth potential. This funding further strengthens the company's long-term capital structure to support its strategic direction towards High Value-Low Carbon growth.

GC's subordinated hybrid debentures have a fixed interest rate of 4.40% per annum for the first 5 years and 6 months, with interest payable every six months. The debentures were offered to the retail investors (Public Offering) during 27th - 28th November and 1st - 3rd December 2025 and attracted widespread investor interest.

Mr.Thitipong Chulapornsiridee, Executive Vice President - Finance and Accounting at GC, stated that

The proceeds from this issuance of subordinated hybrid debentures will be used for loan repayment, investments, and operating expenditures related to GC's ongoing business operations. This issuance is also support the growth of its High Value-Low Carbon businesses, in alignment with its ESG commitments and its dedication to responsible business practices for society and the environment.

Joint lead arrangers said that "Although subordinated hybrid debentures inherently carry higher risk than senior bonds, due to a more flexible repayment structure for the issuer, GC's strong fundamentals and the confidence in the PTT Group contributed to the very positive investor response to this offering. In addition, Fitch Ratings (Thailand) Limited has assigned GC a notional company rating of 'AA-(tha)' with a 'Stable' outlook and has rated subordinated hybrid debentures at 'A(tha)'. This is the highest rating currently assigned to subordinated hybrid debentures in Thailand, reflecting GC's solid financial position and strong market confidence."
