Bangkok Bank led by Vice President, Public Relations Department Mr. Suwit Indrachalerm, Assistant Vice President, Office of the President Mrs. Ratchanee Chiravanich, Assistant Vice President, Sathon Branch Manager Miss Chatnapha Phromsurin, together with Bangkok Bank employees, collaborated with the Thailand Service Co-Operative of the Blind Limited, to organize financial literacy training for members on the topic "Cyber Threats and Modern Scams for the Visually Impaired." This initiative was part of Bangkok Bank's "Fin Lit for The Blind" project, aimed at building knowledge and understanding of conducting financial transactions, especially for the visually impaired, who are vulnerable when accessing and analyzing information, making them easy targets for scams. The training enables participants to use financial services safely and recognize cybercrimes and threats such as call center gangs, fraudulent SMS, Ponzi schemes, mule accounts, and scams that involve being tricked into transferring money. A total of 50 participants joined the training. In addition, the Bank supported a budget of 10,000 baht for the production of audiobooks and Braille books for the visually impaired, containing content about cyber threats and modern scams. These resources were received by Vice Chairman of the Thailand Service Co-Operative of the Blind Limited, Mr. Orachun Tunrueksataporn, at the Thailand Service Co-Operative of the Blind Limited premises.
Bangkok Bank, as a "trusted partner and reliable close friend," places importance on creating value for society in all aspects, particularly in providing knowledge and promoting equal and safe access to financial services. The Bank has continuously collaborated with the Thailand Service Co-Operative of the Blind Limited to provide financial literacy to cooperative members and the visually impaired since 2019.
