TEAC Company Limited (TEAC), a Thai architectural and interior design firm specializing in Healthcare Architecture, held "TEAC 50th Anniversary Times of TEAC: Where Trust Was Designed" to mark its 50th anniversary. Under the theme "Where Trust Was Designed," TEAC continues its legacy of designing over 100 hospitals and more than 200 healthcare-related projects, with a focus on safety, sustainability, and human-centered healing environments. The event highlighted the firm's continued commitment to elevating hospital design in Thailand toward international standards, with emphasis on safety, sustainability, energy efficiency, and improved experiences for patients and medical personnel.
The event was chaired by Assistant Professor Kanikar Vudhikosit, Chairman of the Board of TEAC Company Limited, who welcomed distinguished guests and business partners. Mr. Senis U-pool, Managing Director of TEAC Company Limited, shared the firm's vision and reflected on TEAC's journey over the past five decades together with the management team, employees and business partners.
Mr. Senis U-pool, Managing Director of TEAC Company Limited revealed that TEAC's success is rooted in the dedication of our team and, most importantly, the trust of our clients and business partners. This trust continues to drive us to develop design solutions that serve functional performance, safety, and quality of life for everyone who uses healthcare facilities.
Founded in 1976 by a group of founders, with Associate Professor Auichai Vudhikosit as one of its key figures, TEAC began as a small design studio in the Saphan Kwai area of Bangkok. The firm worked on a broad range of building typologies, including apartments, office buildings, educational facilities, and other public projects, before reaching a defining milestone in 1983, when it was selected to design Bangkok Hospital and Phyathai 2 Hospital. The project became an important foundation for TEAC's long-term specialization in Healthcare Architecture.
Over the decades, TEAC has earned the trust of many leading hospital and healthcare projects across Thailand, including Bangkok Hospital Group under BDMS, Samitivej Hospital Group, Phyathai Hospital Group, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital Group, Mahachai Hospital, Nakornthon Hospital, Thonburi Hospital, Praram 9 Hospital, Thai Nakarin Hospital, as well as major premium healthcare developments such as MedPark Hospital.
Building on its strong foundation in Thailand, TEAC has also expanded its healthcare design expertise to international projects, particularly in Southeast Asia. These include Royal Phnom Penh Hospital and Royal Angkor International Hospital in Cambodia. Today, TEAC's portfolio includes more than 100 hospitals and over 200 healthcare-related projects in Thailand and overseas.
Mr. Senis added that TEAC's accumulated experience has given the firm an in-depth understanding of the complexity of hospital design—from planning and circulation management, separation of high-risk functional routes, and stress-reducing environments for patients, to the integration of architectural design with engineering systems in support of modern healthcare safety requirements.
Looking ahead, TEAC aims to further align its design approach with international benchmarks, particularly environmental and energy-saving standards such as LEED, as well as healthcare quality and safety standards such as JCI. The firm also continues to invest in developing its team's knowledge and expertise in Healthcare Architecture.
The anniversary event also featured a special talk by TEAC team members, led by Mr. Pasakorn Phadungcheewit, Ms. Natjaporn Kosalanun, Ms. Anchasa Boonsri and Mr. Paranyoo Wongsunthon. The team reflected that while technology and healthcare environments continue to evolve, TEAC's commitment to meticulous design and professional responsibility remains unchanged.
According to the TEAC team, Healthcare Architecture is not simply about buildings; it is about managing spaces that support human life around the clock. This includes separating critical circulation routes, such as emergency patient access, food delivery, and infectious waste disposal, to enhance safety, reduce risk, and support the efficiency of medical personnel.
"While architects may not treat diseases directly, we believe that a well-designed environment can truly improve the healing experience for patients." The TEAC team said.
TEAC Company Limited is an architectural and interior design firm with over 50 years of experience. The company has designed a wide range of building typologies, including office buildings, educational facilities, residential buildings, and public projects, while specializing in Healthcare Architecture with hospital and healthcare-related projects in Thailand and internationally.
