BANGKOK, 15th May 2026 - Rooted in tradition and shaped by intention, Khum Hom - MICHELIN Guide Thailand-recommended restaurant at Moevenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok — announces its first major menu update of 2026. Chef Ian Kittichai and Khum Hom team have meticulously crafted 23 new dishes that honour the distinct climates and culinary traditions of Thailand's four regions, celebrating local ingredients and reviving rare gastronomic stories that have begun to fade from memoir.
"This menu is created to tell a story. It is designed to convey culinary stories from across all regions of Thailand" says Chef Ian. "The local ingredients, the distinct flavours that make Thai food so wonderfully diverse, and the stories behind dishes that are stories worth tasting…"
"This menu is not about reinventing what already exists — it is about giving voice to culinary stories from across every region of Thailand. We want every plate to celebrate what makes Thai food so wonderfully diverse, and every guest to leave having discovered something they did not expect to find — Chef Ian Kittichai.
The collection leads with the Kang Kao Puek, a royal snack from the early Rattanakosin era requiring immense precision to achieve its delicate taro texture. From the South, the Pad Keui Chalu showcases a bold, additive-free krill paste balanced with premium seafood, while the Mhee Pak Panang offers tender noodles in a layered dried chili sauce, served with succulent grilled River prawn. Guests can also experience the refreshing Yum Hua Plee Pla Fu (banana blossom salad) with its whispers of smoky herbs, complements the grilled dried fish beautifully, as well as the Songkhla-style rich and spicy soup, Tom Yum Pak Ror.
The menu finds its sweetest chapter in two desserts of quiet complexity. The Kanom Ta Yab — pandan-infused and finished with a salted coconut sauce — offers a closing note that is at once delicate and deeply satisfying. The Ice Cream Boran, an elegant nod to Bee Go Moi — Phuket's most nostalgic frozen indulgence, arrives alongside homemade brioche crowned with toddy palm, palm seed, and Prachuap Khiri Khan chocolate, a finale as storied as it is delicious — and a natural prelude to the Movenpick BDMS Bangkok's Chocolicious Journey.
For guests seeking an immersive introduction to Chef Ian's vision, the six-course Experience Set Menu — priced at THB 2,200++ per person — offers a carefully sequenced journey through the new collection's most compelling expressions, guided by the culinary philosophy that defines Khum Hom.
Recommended by the MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2026, Khum Hom continues to set the standard for refined Thai cuisine — honouring the depth of a rich culinary heritage while finding new and meaningful ways to bring it to the table.
The ? la carte selections and the six-course Experience Set Menu are now available for lunch and dinner.
