Mondel?z Thailand celebrates 'Purpose Month' with volunteer work at the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women

From making snacks to making a difference — Mondel?z International (Thailand) is putting a different kind of recipe to work for Purpose Month this October, the company's annual global month of volunteerism and community action. As part of our commitment to empowering people to snack right and creating positive impact in the communities where we live and work, more than 30 colleagues from across the business in Thailand are coming together to prepare meals for residents at the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women in Bangkok — turning purpose into hands-on support for the local community.

Idara Huang, Managing Director, Mondel?z International (Thailand), said: "At Mondel?z, we're used to making snacks that bring a little joy to people's everyday lives — but the difference we can make goes far beyond what we produce. Purpose Month is a reminder that real change doesn't require grand gestures — it starts when our people come together, bring their energy and enthusiasm, and rally behind the communities around us. When every colleague does their bit, those individual contributions add up to something much bigger. That's the power of our team — hearts and hands united to make a difference for the society we're part of."

Purpose Month brings Mondel?z colleagues together around a shared purpose, with extra focus on how they can use their time, skills and energy to play an active role in the communities around them. Held each October, this year's global theme — Game-Changer — encourages colleagues to pause, reflect and step up to make a meaningful difference. Globally, tens of thousands of colleagues across more than 150 countries are getting involved through community outreach, volunteering, food drives and wellness activities.

The Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women, also known as the Emergency Shelter, is a well-established humanitarian organization that provides temporary shelter and essential support services — including accommodation, counselling, healthcare, education and vocational training — for women and children facing difficult circumstances. Since its founding in 1974, the Shelter has continuously fostered opportunities to start new lives and provided assistance to people from all parts of Thailand.

By showing up today, Team Mondel?z helps give women and children in need the chance to start over — and that, at its core, is what being a Game-Changer is all about.
