From the turquoise waters of Koh Samui to the rice fields of Chiang Mai and the jungles of the Golden Triangle, three distinctive Four Seasons experiences in Thailand have once again been recognised by readers in the 2026 Conde Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards.

Recognition Across Thailand

Chosen by readers, this year's results mark another year of recognition for Four Seasons resorts across Thailand. Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle was named the No.1 in Thailand- Best Resorts in the World in the UK Conde Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards 2026, rising from No. 5 in 2025.

"What makes Northern Thailand so special is the connection between its people, traditions and landscape," says Ivan Giles, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. "To see our guests recognise these experiences is incredibly meaningful and, above all, a reflection of the care and passion our teams bring to them every day."

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui was named the No. 2 Top Resorts in Thailand in the 2026 US Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards and ranked No. 5 in Thailand- Best Resorts in the World in the UK awards. Meanwhile, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai was also recognised, ranking No. 13 Top Resorts in Thailand in the US awards.

"We are deeply honoured that our guests continue to recognise Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui. We are grateful to be part of their journeys and to share our island home with them," says Jasjit Assi, General Manager of Four Seasons Resorts Koh Samui.

A journey through Thailand

At Four Seasons, a sense of place is at the heart of the guest experience. Across Thailand, that philosophy takes three distinctly different forms.

On the island of Samui, Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui is a hillside retreat overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, with private villas and residences set among tropical landscapes. Southern Thai spirit, regional flavours and the ease of island life shape the experience, while the resort's setting within a former coconut plantation creates a natural relationship with its surroundings. At KOH Thai Kitchen & Bar, Southern Thai culinary traditions are brought to the table against sweeping views of the Gulf.

Further north, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai offers an immersive introduction to Northern Thailand, surrounded by rice fields, lily ponds and the Mae Rim Valley. Lanna-inspired architecture, local craft, culinary traditions and Wara Cheewa Spa create a stay rooted in the culture and landscape of the region, with experiences brought to life by the people who share their knowledge and traditions with guests.

At the northernmost edge of the journey, Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle offers an immersive experience in the jungles of Northern Thailand, where Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. With the Ruak River flowing alongside the Camp, its intimate setting brings together tented accommodation, adventure, nature and local discovery, alongside meaningful opportunities to learn about rescued elephants and the people dedicated to their care.

Its No. 1 recognition reflects the distinctive character of an experience shaped by adventure, nature and the people of the Golden Triangle.

"The Tented Camp is unlike anywhere else I know," says Ashok Nair, Camp Manager. "Guests come for adventure and discovery, but what often stays with them are the connections they make - with the landscape, with our elephants and with the people who bring the Camp to life. To have our guests recognise that experience in this way means a great deal to all of us."

Three ways to experience the destination

Together, the three resorts offer travellers an opportunity to experience different facets of Thailand: the sea and Southern Thai spirit of Koh Samui; the Lanna culture, craftsmanship and rice-field landscape of Chiang Mai; and the jungles, rivers and communities of the Golden Triangle.

While each destination has its own character, all three are shaped by a shared belief that the most memorable journeys come through a genuine sense of people and place. From a private island retreat and a countryside escape to an immersive journey through the jungle, each offers a different way to discover Thailand.

This year's Readers' Choice recognition belongs as much to the people behind these experiences as it does to the destinations themselves - the teams whose knowledge, warmth and thoughtful care make every stay personal.

Across all three resorts, the commitment remains the same: genuine care, warm and intuitive hospitality, and experiences shaped by the people and places that make each destination distinctive.
