Tsubohachi Serves Up Three Matcha and Hojicha Campaigns for Tea Lovers
Kyoto-style desserts, rare Kuzukiri Tokoroten and new Wacha Cafe drinks at the Japanese izakaya managed by IMPACT Muang Thong Thani
Tsubohachi, the authentic Hokkaido-born izakaya restaurant managed by IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, has launched three campaigns celebrating matcha and hojicha: the Kyoto-style dessert series "Kyoto Dezaato," the traditional Japanese jelly dessert "Kuzukiri Tokoroten," and the new drinks line "Wacha Cafe." All are now available at participating Tsubohachi branches.
The campaigns showcase two of Japan's best-loved teas: matcha, the stone-ground green tea known for its vivid color and rich, rounded flavor, and hojicha, a roasted green tea with a warm, toasty aroma. Together they are presented as desserts and drinks suited to an after-dinner treat, an afternoon break or a relaxed evening at the izakaya.
IMPACT Executive Japanese Chef Yamaguchi Isao, We want tea lovers to enjoy matcha and hojicha in many forms, from desserts to drinks, with a genuine taste of Japan at every Tsubohachi branch," said
Kyoto Dezaato: seven premium desserts
Highlights of the Kyoto-inspired series include the cloud-light Matcha Kumo Cake; the chewy Warabi Mochi Parfait; a rich Matcha Cheesecake; and Hojicha Ice Cream Daifuku, soft mochi filled with roasted-tea ice cream. The line-up is completed by Matcha Choux Cream, Soba Hojicha Choux Cream and Matcha Mousse. IMPACT Family members pay THB 149 or THB 169 per dessert (regular price THB 179 or THB 199) until 31 December 2026 at all Tsubohachi branches.
Kuzukiri Tokoroten: a rare Japanese treat
This traditional Japanese dessert of clear, springy jelly noodles is priced at THB 169 and comes in two styles. Osaka Style is sweet, with a rich matcha sauce, kinako powder and Japanese red beans. Tokyo Style is savory and refreshing, with tangy ponzu, roasted sesame, kizami nori and wasabi. Available from today onwards (until further notice).
Wacha Cafe: new Japanese tea drinks
The new drinks series pairs the intensity of matcha with the roasted aroma of hojicha across four drinks priced at THB 119-139: Hojicha Float, Hojicha Momo, Matcha Lychee Sparkling and the signature Matcha Foam Kuromitsu, smooth matcha sweetened with Japanese black sugar syrup and topped with light foam. The Mizu Manju dessert is also available at THB 99. Wacha Cafe runs until 30 November 2026.
