Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort Named Best Family Resort at TTM Awards 2026

Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort has been named Best Family Resort at the Travel Trade Maldives Awards & Gala 2026, recognising its considered approach to multigenerational island holidays.

The win marks the resort's third consecutive accolade from Travel Trade Maldives, following Best Dive Resort in 2024 and Best Beach Resort in 2025. Together, the three awards reflect the breadth of the Avani+ Fares experience, spanning marine adventures, beachside stays and dedicated facilities for families.

Set within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort offers 176 pavilions, beach villas, overwater villas and residences. Accommodation ranges from interconnecting Pavilion rooms and Beach Pool Villas to two and three-bedroom Over Water Pool Residences with private pools and shared living spaces for larger families.

At AvaniKids, children aged two and above can explore indoor play areas, arts and crafts and outdoor facilities including a splash park, pirate ship and zipline. The resort also provides two hours of complimentary supervised babysitting each day for children aged two to 11.

Older children have their own round-the-clock Teens Club with gaming stations, karaoke, movies and social spaces. At Petit Bistro, the resort's dedicated kids-only restaurant, younger guests can dine independently and take part in interactive culinary activities.

Family experiences extend across the island, from snorkelling along the house reef and sunset fishing to water sports, diving, wellness activities and beach games. The resort also hosts specialist programmes throughout the year, including Michael Owen's Kids' Football Camp, which returns for its third edition from 14 to 17 October 2026.

The TTM Awards & Gala 2026 took place at CROSSROADS Maldives on 27 August, concluding the tenth edition of TTM Maldives. The awards recognised achievements across 32 categories within the Maldivian tourism and hospitality sector.
