Osotspa Public Company Limited has established the "Osotspa Goes Green, Plants Trees for Bangkok People" project, intending to plant 10,000 trees within 4 years (2022 - 2025). The first phase planted 2,500 trees on four rai of vacant land along Srinakarin Road and Krungthep Kreetha Road, transforming the space into a forest garden of mixed species with yellow flowers, such as Supanniga tree, Yellow Pridiyathorn Tree, Ratchaphruek Tree, Pradu Tree, Tongurai Tree, Chamaebthong Tree, Banburi Tree, etc. In addition, the Company planted big trees in Osotspa headquarter's area, namely Agarwood, which is the main ingredient of Krisnaklan, a well-known traditional medicine for stomach aches and diarrhea. The project also gave away trees to employees and surrounding communities to create green spaces in their homes.
The Governor of Bangkok said that the policy of planting one million trees has received good support from various sectors, as many parties want to help building a livable city that serves good quality of life for Bangkokians. Osotspa's plating tree project is a precious gift, as it shows the united power of many people. These trees are not only for the Bangkokians, but they also are a gift for the next generations.
Mrs. Wannipa said that with the vision of "Power to Enhance Life" and a commitment to sustainable growth, Osotspa focuses on reducing environmental impacts and utilizing natural resources with maximum efficiency through many policies. For example, the Company designs and produces packaging that uses less plastic and can be recycled. It also grows green power in the communities by encouraging residents around Osotspa's offices and factories to separate waste, especially used glass bottles that will be brought to the recycling process as raw material for new glass bottle production. Osotspa, therefore, is more than ready to support the policy of planting 1 million trees to create green spaces as the dust filter throughout Bangkok. Moreover, as the end of the year is near, this is a good opportunity for the Company's employees to plant trees to create a source of oxygen or the city lung that helps reduce dust pollution, to create shaded areas and a diverse ecosystem, as a gift for Bangkokians, especially those living in Bang Kapi area.
