Thai Bodybuilding Association has finished the list of national bodybuilders to compete in the 59th IFBB Men's World Amateur Bodybuilding Championship have scheduled for 24 – 28 October 2005 in Shanghai, China. They are

Mr Sitthji Charoenrith       in Light-Middleweight Up to & incl 80 kg
Mr Panupong Prateep         in Welterweight       Up to & incl 75 kg
Mr Somsri Turintaisong       in Bantamweight       Up to & incl 65 kg
Mr Somkit Sumathovechakul   in Flyweight           Up to & incl 60 kg
However, Mr Sawang Panapouy (Up to & incl 75 kg category) has been reserved for those who may not be able to join the competition.

The Men's World Amateur Bodybuilding Championship is sanctioned by International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB), and has been held in different countries each year since 1946 when the IFBB was founded. The competition are categorized in to bodyweight category including,

Flyweight           Up to & incl 60 kgs
Bantamweight       Up to & incl 65 kgs
Lightweight         Up to & incl 70 kgs
Welterweight       Up to & incl 75 kgs
Light-Middleweight Up to & incl 80 kgs
Middleweight       Up to & incl 85 kgs
Light-Heavyweight   Up to & incl 90 kgs
Heavyweight         Over 60 kgs
The IFBB World Championships are the most important bodybuilding competitions on the amateur agenda. The International Congress is held in conjunction with the Men's World Championship each year.
