Lazada celebrates 2nd anniversary in 2014 Aiming to better reach customers through even smarter systems to deliver ultimate online shopping experience

With the marketplace model, Lazada acts as a platform allowing qualified vendors to sell on the internet nationwide. On the other hand, vendors benefit from Lazada’s best-in-class operations (payment, delivery and customer services) and vast audience. “Secondly, we have improved our operations to deliver best-in-class shopping experience. We offer customers a free return policy to guarantee customer satisfaction. We also provide a ‘Cash On Delivery’ payment method where customers do not have to pay until the order has arrived at their doorstep. In addition, approximately 80% of the orders are delivered within 48 hours”.

“Thirdly, we have successfully built on our mobile presence. We launched the Lazada App for Android in June 2013 and for iOS in January 2014. Approximately 40% of the traffic
comes from mobile devices, with ~180,000 Android App downloads and ~160,000 iOS downloads” Riccardo adds.

“On March 26th, we will celebrate our 2nd anniversary with a special campaign for our customers. For 24 hours (starting at midnight!), we will offer extremely attractive discounts (up to 90% discount). By shopping on Lazada, customers will also support our donation activity to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). UNFPA is a UN organization, whose mission is to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. As part of the “Lazada's 2nd Year Anniversary - Fundraising Campaign for UNFPA,” Lazada will donate 20 THB for each order made on the day. Fund raised will be used to support UNFPA activities in Thailand.
