In conjunction with this year's Summit, the BSA's seventh annual CEO Forum will be held on Wednesday, October 8.   The CEO Forum provides an important opportunity for BSA CEOs to meet and discuss industry priorities.

This year's Global Tech Summit will bring together global visionaries, CEOs, futurists, academicians and international policymakers for a frank discussion of the state of technology as well as unparalleled explorations of what innovations lie ahead, and what they might mean to the worldwide economy, industry, and society.

"Technology's effect on industry and culture has surely been profound, and we are only at the beginning of what is expected to be an even more remarkable transformation of global society and enterprise," said Robert Holleyman, President and CEO of the BSA. "Since our first Global Tech Summit in 2001, much has changed.   We look forward to a continuation of diverse, lively debates and thought-provoking dialogues that will help us openly and honestly address the complex issues presented by an increasingly connected world and borderless economy."

The BSA CEOs will be joined by other thought leaders from the Americas, Australia, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.   Moderators will include Lou Dobbs, anchor and managing editor of CNN's Lou Dobb's Tonight, and Latin American news and media personality Sergio Sarmiento of TV Azteca (Mexico). Speaking from BSA's regional head office in Singapore, Jeffrey Hardee, Vice President and Regional Director for the Asia Pacific Region, said, "Asia is a vast and diverse region that is integrally linked to the advancing global networked economy.   Like other regions, it is confronted by the challenges and opportunities sweeping the world in this digital age.   Fifty days from now, the Global Tech Summit will provide participants from Asia Pacific an opportunity to collaborate with luminaries from the rest of the world on what is in store and how to prepare.   Those invited from Asia include senior government officials, business leaders, academics and the media."
