Global People Skills Conference 2003, the third annual executive and management training opportunity, runs October 28 and 29 at the Georgia Center for Advanced Telecommunications Technology (GCATT) in Atlanta.

(PRWEB) July, 2003 -- Business, technology and people skills come together in a much more cohesive way with this all new conference. "'New and Improved' is such a clich? that I hesitate to use it", says Karla Brandau, the conference's creator and producer, "but it is nevertheless true, thanks to our close association with Atlanta's academic world, in particular Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business and GCATT."

Brandau's Atlanta based People Skills International, delivers targeted soft skill training to management and executive level teams working on international projects.

"Our collaboration with Georgia State has lead to a highly educated, and broadly experienced faculty of presenters and speakers this year", Brandau states. "Our focus is on the actual education of our participants, moreso than simply motivating them to do better…We are very proud and excited about the level expertise we are presenting this year."

Under the banner of "Think Tomorrow, Act Now", the conference will kick off with a welcome speech by Dr. Sidney Harris, Dean of Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business, and features keynote presentations and workshops by top executive educators and consultants.

The conference has been carefully crafted to deliver practical, relevant knowledge to executives and managers in sales and marketing and in HR and people development, as well as members of global and virtual teams. GPS 2003 was designed from the position that America is not the epicenter of business… We must accept – and embrace – the globalization of our marketplace, and the diversification of our teams and customers.

The accommodation of the needs of stakeholders in a corporation - from clients and investors to employees and teams - must take into account more than just the economic factors, the organizers believe. Communication and cooperation between international collaborators is to different degrees affected by culture, religion, race and politics. We must become sensitive to, and educated about, these factors to sustain and grow in a worldwide community.

Details of the conference, speaker biographies, online registration form and other pertinent facts are available at www.globalpeopleskills.com.
