The "Stock Analysts Forum 2003" an opportunity to offer Stock Information to Investors

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), the Association of Securities Companies, and the Securities Analysts Association will hold the "Stock Analysts Forum 2003" jointly for the first time this year.   The forum will take place on January 9 at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center. This may be the only opportunity for investors to listen to various viewpoints on strategies for investing in 2003, as well as to receive advice from more than thirty leading securities companies.   Investors will also receive stock analyses from leading brokerages free. Registration begins at 8a.m. and tickets are available from any brokers.

The Chairman of Capital Market Opportunity Center (CMOC), Ms. Sopawadee Lertmanaschai, announced that the SET and the Quality Service Association, in conjunction with the Association of Securities Companies and the Securities Analysts Association, will hold the "Stock Analysts' Forum 2003" for the first time this year.   It is great honor for the organizers to have the Minister of Finance, Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak, preside over the opening ceremony and give an address.   Following this, investors and any interested members of the public will have a chance to listen to viewpoints on and analysis of investment trends in 2003 from leading stock analysts. Furthermore, employees from the thirty-six brokerage firms will be on hand to offer them advice on strategies to kick-start their investment plans for 2003 with confidence.   This event is planned for Thursday, January 9, 2003 from 9.00 to 17.00 in the Plenary Hall at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center.   Registration will commence and stock analysis handouts will be available from 8.00 onwards.

"This will be the first time in 2003 that a collection of leading analysts will be available for both investors and those interested in investing in the financial markets to consult. Executives from the thirty-six securities companies will also be there to offer investment advice to investors for free.   Tickets are priced at 700 baht and those interested can contact any of the thirty-six securities companies for tickets, or call the SET at 02-229-2222.   Ticket-holders will also receive free copies of various stock analyses from these securities companies. Thus, investors should not miss this one-off event," Ms. Sopawadee said.

The event will be divided into two parts.   The first begins at 9.00 with a speech by His Excellency, the Minister of Finance, Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak.   From 9.30 - 12.00 there will be a seminar on "The Direction and Trend of the Stock Market in 2003" by experts from the securities sector. They will include the Chief Executive Officers from Asset Plus Securities and Kim Eng Securities (Thailand), Dr. Kongkiat Opaswongkarn and Mr. Montree Sornpaisarn, the Managing Director of Merrill Lynch Phatra Securities, Dr. Supavud Saicheua, and Ayudhya Securities' Executive Vice President, Mr. Sombat Narawutthichai.   Nation Radio's Stock Program host, Ms. Kwanchanok Wutthikul, will act as moderator.

The afternoon session, from 13.00-17.00, will take a close look at sectors that should prove interesting in 2003, and investors will be able choose to attend a discussion on whichever subject interests them most.   From 13.00-15.00, there will be discussion on company performance in the Property Development and   Building & Furnishing Materials Sectors in the Plenary Hall, on the Energy and Chemicals and Plastics Sectors in Meeting Rooms 1 and 2, and on the Entertainment & Recreation Sector in Meeting Rooms 3 and 4.   From 15.00-17.00, there will be a talk on the Banking, Finance and Securities Sectors in the Plenary Hall, plus on the Communication and Electronic Components   Sectors in Meeting Rooms 1 and 2, and finally, a talk on other sectors of interest in Meeting Rooms 3 and 4.
