BJC Marketing Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of its shower cream "Parrot Gold".   With a new formula and packaging design, for skin beauty, a development resulting from extensive and careful research on consumer requirements and market structure, "Parrot Gold" is confident they will be able to capture the Mass-Premium consumer market.   Bates (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Bates Adverting) has been appointed to be responsible for Integrated Marketing Communications campaign for "Parrot Gold".   Under the concept: "Care for beautiful skin, care for your skin beauty," actor "Nhum-Attaporn Teemakorn" was chosen to represent "emotional care" among the new generation.   The IMC campaign includes TV commercials, radio, and printed ads.

"BJC Marketing presents "Parrot Gold" with a new image, modern packaging, and a new formula as a development based on the results of our extensive consumer research.   The new "Parrot Gold" was first marketed in March," said Khun Nirut Jitchai, Marketing Director, BJC Marketing Co., Ltd. "The shower cream market is highly competitive with 10% growth in this segment.   BJC Marketing sees the potential to expand its consumer base aiming at middle to premium level consumers.   We expect to be 1 among the top 5 shower creams by the end of this year".

"Parrot Gold" is a moisturizing shower cream enriched with vitamin E, easy to rinse off and leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth and scented.   The product comes in 3 floral-extract formulas for different skin types:

1. Skin balance formula with violet extract for mixed skin-type,
2. Skin care formula with white rose extract for normal skin-type, and
3. Sensitive skin formula with chamomile extract for sensitive skin-type.
"BJC Marketing is highly confident of "Parrot Gold's" outstanding selling points with quality above others and with a price you can't miss," added Khun Nirut.

Khun Prinyanuch Tasalee, Product Group Manager, BJC Marketing Co., Ltd. shared that   "Parrot Gold's" shower cream's target consumers are first job holders, 20-30 year-old average, and those who nourish their skin beauty using natural extract shower cream.   BJC Marketing targets 80% sales growth for the year 2003 with an allocated marketing budget up to Thai Baht 60 million covering public relations, point-of-sales promotion and sample product distribution up to 2 million bottles.

Additionally, BJC Marketing has a strong support from its advertising agency: Bates (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to take the challenge of brand re-launching task, boosting it up to Mass-Premium market.   With that goal in mind, Bates Advertising uses "emotional capture" creative tactic to build the emotional link with the consumers: the overlooked nearness of warm and caring person represented nicely by "Nhum-Attaporn Teemakorn" through his personal characteristic.   The emotional link to Nhum, the nearness of warm, caring person, is to be translated into the nearness of skin care shower cream: "Parrot Gold" that will take good care of your skin.   The TV commercials is divided into 3 series: 90, 45 and 15 seconds, first airing schedule was on Friday, 18 April.
