Lowe Limited (Lintas) targets 15% billings growth this year and will continue with its successful strategy of human resource development and uncompromising objective to produce advertising that creates sales and builds brands, according to Mrs. Charuvarn Vanasin, Chairman & CEO of Lowe.

"In particular, we will dedicate ourselves to the single-minded mission of producing creativity that pays. By that we mean that a successful ad should pay-back its investment by creating sales and building brands. That is what clients demand from their advertising agency these days," says Vanasin, "We expect clients to hold us accountable for what we produce for them. It forces us to keep pushing ourselves for the best work".

The restructuring at Lowe which commenced some three years ago is certainly producing results. An overhaul of the Creative department has led to resurgence in Lowe's creative reputation and recognition by the industry. "Our Creative department is now producing some outstanding work. This year alone we can point to more than 40   local and international creative awards. That is all work that has helped build our client's business, not scam ads".

Lowe work was again recognized at the TACT Awards last year and also scored well at the Adfest held in Pattaya. Internationally, Lowe work also received recognition, scoring awards from Cannes, Mobius, New York Festival and the ultimate prize, the prestigious Gold Award from the London International Advertising Awards for its work on Kit Kat.

"Coming from a strong foundation, we expect our 2003 billings to grow by 15%. This will be on top of Bht. 3 billion billings last year, exclusive of media billing. A hugely successful new business program last year saw the Agency add a string of major,blue-chip brands to its portfolio including Coca-Cola, Fanta, Nam Tip, TA Orange, HSBC credit card, BTS Skytrain, plus a wide range of government agencies", adds Vanasin.

Lowe is already home to many of Thailand's leading brands including Siam Cement, Cerebos, Dumex, Johnson & Johnson, Berli Jucker and Unilever, she adds.

" We shall continue to build even stronger relationships with our current clients whose faith in the Agency we cherish. For all clients, our vision is to serve as an integral part of their marketing team, ready to respond to their communication needs around the clock. We intend to make the best use of our learning from consumer research to sharpen our ability to speak with consumers and touch their hearts with a deep insight unique to each of our client's brands", she continues.

Lowe has also expanded its scope of services and looks to these new areas to offer additional channels for its clients to reach out consumers beyond traditional media.

Its 3-year-old Digital unit provides interactive and web-based communications for clients such as SONY, Nestle, Unilever, Brands and the National Energy Policy Office. Creating excitement outside the home has been the job of Lowe's new Consumer Activation unit whose capabilities include sampling, promotions, retail display and in-store merchandising.

Additionally, Lowe has just announced the launch of its newest service unit, Corporate Communications. This business unit will serve the needs of corporate clients looking to raise the profile in the market and promote the values behind their brands. Internal communications programs for staff, shareholders, key business partners and the community fall within the capability of this unit.

"In 2003, we'll be reaching out to clients and consumers in way we have never done before. The restructuring we commenced some years ago has produced very exciting results for our clients and our Agency. We'll see that momentum continue this year. Our clients and our staff expect results and we are strongly committed to serve them to the best of our ability", adds Mrs. Vanasin.

"We have a very strong, experienced team in place and we are determined that we'll continue to seek out the best talent in creative and across all areas of our business. Our corporate mission demands that we put the best people on our clients' business. It is one of the key elements of Lowe that sets us apart from our competitors; senior people working on a day-to-day basis with their clients. It's the best way I know of to create results", concludes Vanasin.   End.
