On August 8, a ceremony for inauguration of FEV's Thailand subsidiary will take place in Bangkok under participation of Government officials and clients. With this new location, FEV will continue its growth in Asia to support the mobility sector in the development of complete vehicles and engines, transmissions and electric powertrains including battery and fuel cell. The inauguration will be followed by a conference on future mobility solutions.

FEV Thailand is located South-east of Bangkok in Sriracha, Chon Buri. "Thailand's automotive sector is growing fast and needs technology for future mobility. Clean air, sustainable energy supply and highly efficient drive systems are needed worldwide, and FEV helps to develop technical solutions for the future targets", states Prof. Stefan Pischinger, President and CEO of FEV Group.

"The mega cities like Bangkok can improve air quality and safety significantly by solutions of FEV for conventional and e-vehicles including 2- and 3-wheelers. To be efficient in product development, it is important to be close to the client and to support locally as well as globally", said Dr. Ernst Scheid, CEO of FEV Asia. FEV is already integrated in Thai projects, improving conventional powertrains for South-east Asia, and with the delivery of testing equipment for product development and end-of-line quality control, providing hardware and software for Thai Industry 4.0.

Dr. Andreas Pungs is assigned as Managing Director of FEV Thailand Co., Ltd. He joint FEV 20 years ago and is very familiar with Asia. He was responsible for product development as CTO of FEV China after heading the FEV's powertrain lab in India.
